I have over thirty years of experience working with many Fortune 500 companies. Past President to the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) Austin/San Antonio chapter. For the last ten years I have been doing primarily architectural work.
A native Texan born in San Antonio, I am the son of a noted lawyer and my god father was the world's best selling author of his time, Erle Stanley Gardner, of Perry Mason fame. My father was a member of the Court of Last Resort, a group of layers and forensic experts who worked to get prisoners they felt unjustly convicted new trials. Some of my fondest memories of my father was us driving from one state prison to another where he interviewed prisoners. I always got a kick out of seeing my dad in the opening credits of the TV show they made about the Court of Last Resort which showed for two seasons.
I grew up in what is now one of the most haunted houses in Texas. It was spooky but not as spooky as it has been made out to be.
After graduating from high school I followed my high school sweetheart up to the University of Texas in Austin. I loved Austin from the very beginning and, while I have traveled extensively, Austin has remained my home.
After college I a friend invited me to see a new band playing their first gig with a new member. The core band of Billy Maddox, Stephen Barber, and Kyle Brock had changed from a horn section to a young guitarist named Eric Johnson. The band was the Electromagnets destined to go on to a regional cult following while they existed and there are two albums of their material available to this day. I asked if they needed help after seeing them that night and helped them with their management and production of their two albums. Gained the friendship of some of the most talented and nicest musicians a person could know. That experience threw off memories of meeting the Chick Corea Band and thrashing them and Weather Report at ping pong, traveling with Weather Repost on a European tour during the Jaco days, and singing Tom Lehrer songs to Joni Mitchell, a true out of body experience.
After the band transformed into the Eric Johnson Group, I went on to do real estate investing and importing art from Asia before turning a love of photography into a career in photography. I have traveled to over eighty countries and hope to add many more.
I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world, my wife Kowecha and I have one perfect child, Elista. All in all I am a very happy man who would love to do award winning photography for you. :-)
